报告摘要:Large-scale WiFi systems have been widely deployed in most corporate places such as universities (e.g., the eduroam system), enterprises, and shopping malls. In the system, a large number of APs are deployed indoors within a wide area, using a unique Service Set Identifier (SSID) to provide seamless and consistent Internet connections. However, how to build advanced edge functionalities to provide quality services, how to management the system to save the operating expenditure, and how to enable flexible resource management in real time, are imperative to the system providers, but technically challenging due to the system scale, heterogeneous AP features, and network dynamics. In this talk, we present LEAD (i.e., Large-scale WiFi Edge cAche Deployment), LAM (i.e., Large-scale AP Management), and SMC (i.e., Sequential Message Characterization), to respectively introduce how to deploy edge cache, how to management APs, and how to conduct early online classification for encrypted internet traffic, in a large-scale WiFi system which contains 8,000 APs and 40,000 users.
报告人简介:吕丰, 2013年毕业于BET体育365投注官网软件学院,获工学学士学位;2018年毕业于上海交通大学计算机科学与工程系获博士学位;2018年9月至今,在加拿大滑铁卢大学 (University of Waterloo) 电子与计算机工程系 (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) 从事博士后研究。发表相关学术论文20余篇,包括IEEE JSAC, IEEE IOTJ, IEEE TITS, IEEE TVT等国际著名期刊,以及 IEEE ICDCS, IEEE SECON, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM 等国际著名会议。
